See exactly how much damage was done

Document crop damage from boars, deer, wind, and flooding with centimeter-accurate drone data, the same day it happens.

Why documenting crop damage takes so long

The boars were thorough. Your documentation should be too.

Assessment delays

Insurance assessors and government inspectors work on their own schedule, not yours, so by the time they visit, conditions on the ground have changed.

Single snapshot documentation

Photos taken on a phone don't show the full picture, don't include measurements, and don't hold up in formal claim processes.

Disputed extents

Without precise area measurements, damage estimates are subjective and easy to challenge downward.

Recurring damage, no pattern record

Boars and deer return to the same fields season after season, but without spatial records it's impossible to demonstrate the cumulative impact.

No before-and-after record

Without a baseline of the field before the damage occurred, it's difficult to prove the full extent of what was lost.

The damage takes one night. The claim takes months—unless you document it right.

Every affected hectare captured, measured, and mapped

The morning after damage is discovered, fly the field and upload to AVAG.

Draw polygons around each affected zone and get exact area measurements in hectares instantly.

Every damaged area is georeferenced to its precise location on the map, so your report shows not just how much was lost, but exactly where.

Show exactly what was lost, not just what remains

The multi-window feature displays several time periods simultaneously—healthy crop before the event next to the damage next to recovery progress next to the current state. With AVAG, you can build a baseline record that makes the contrast between before and after immediately visible to any assessor or claims handler.

For recurring damage from the same animals returning to the same areas season after season, the multi-window view builds a visual case for cumulative loss that a single inspection visit can never capture.

A report that holds up

Every measurement can be exported as a PDF report including precise area measurements per damage zone, and georeferenced locations of each affected area. The report is generated entirely within AVAG, so no additional formatting is needed.

Frequently asked questions

How can drones help document crop damage for insurance claims?

Drones capture a complete overhead view of damaged fields in a single flight, which AVAG processes into easy-to-navigate visualizations. Farmers draw polygons around each damaged zone and get exact area measurements instantly. Those can be exported as a PDF report that documents the full extent of damage.

How quickly can crop damage be documented with AVAG after it is discovered?

A complete damage assessment, from drone flight to exported PDF report, can take a few hours from the moment damage is discovered. After automated processing is completed, the user can measure the damage zones and generate a report within AVAG. This means farmers can have precise, timestamped documentation the same day damage is found, before conditions change or further damage occurs.

What data formats does AVAG accept?

AVAG works with data from most drone platforms and common photogrammetry workflows, so there is no need to change your existing capture setup. If you already process data externally, AVAG imports outputs from Pix4D, Agisoft, 3DSurvey, and DroneDeploy, accepting TIFF orthophotos and DSMs, LAS and LAZ point clouds, and mesh data as a ZIP package containing JPG, OBJ, and MTL files. For raw imagery, AVAG accepts standard RGB JPG files, high-resolution grid photos from Mavic 3E, 360° panoramic images, and imagery captured with or without GPS, all processed directly within the platform. For map visualization and overlay, AVAG supports CAD drawings, WMS services, 3D models, DXF, TXT, CSV, Shapefile, and PDF formats. Any coordinate system is supported, with no reformatting required when switching between client projects or data sources.

What types of crop damage can AVAG document?

AVAG documents any crop damage that is visible from the air, including damage caused by boars rooting through crops, fallow deer grazing paths, wind flattening, and flood waterlogging. Each damage type produces a distinct pattern in the orthophoto that can be precisely mapped and measured. Polygon tools allow farmers to draw boundaries around each affected zone separately, so claims can distinguish between different damage types and causes within the same field.

Does AVAG support both basic and survey-grade photogrammetry processing?

Yes. AVAG offers Automated processing without ground control points (GCPs) for fast turnaround projects where survey-grade accuracy is not required, and Expert processing with GCPs for projects demanding centimeter-level accuracy.

Do we need expensive computers?

No. The cloud-based platform runs in any browser and works on basic laptops, tablets, or phones. No hardware investment required.

Can AVAG show the difference between a field before and after damage?

Yes. For farmers who survey their fields regularly, AVAG builds a spatial record over time that makes the before-and-after contrast immediately visible.

Does AVAG work with any drone for crop damage documentation?

Yes. AVAG works with data from most consumer and professional drone platforms. Raw JPG imagery imports directly for processing, and pre-processed outputs from Pix4D, Agisoft, 3DSurvey, and DroneDeploy also import if you already have a processing workflow.
