AVAG at Dronedge 2026: the new workspace meets the drone community
Updated:
AVAG brought its new workspace to Dronedge 2026 in Prague for two days of conversations with the drone community.

A new workspace on the big screen, laptops open at the stand, and two days of conversations about where drone technology is heading. Dronedge 2026 gave us plenty to bring back from Prague.
For AVAG, the highlight was a milestone: Marek and Miroslav gave the first public presentation of the new AVAG workspace, showing the update to the community gathered at Fantova budova on October 7–8.

Two days connecting the drone industry
Organized by the Alliance for Unmanned Aviation Industry (UAVA), Dronedge reached its 11th edition this year. The conference brings together manufacturers, operators, developers, researchers and public institutions to discuss the development and practical use of unmanned aviation.
The setting was distinctive: the historic halls of Fantova budova at Prague Main Railway Station, with exhibition stands lining the corridor outside the conference room.

Between sessions, the exhibition area kept the conversations going.
The program covered a broad range of subjects. Day one focused on civil aviation, regulation, testing infrastructure, practical applications and research. Day two placed greater emphasis on security, defense and industrial technologies.
For us, that mix makes Dronedge a useful place to meet: the people building the technology are in the same rooms as those operating it, developing its applications and shaping the conditions for its use.

Our contribution centered on the work that follows data collection.
Once a drone has captured a site, teams need to answer practical questions. What has changed since the previous survey? How much material has moved? How does the measured surface compare with the design? How can someone elsewhere review the same information?
The new workspace is designed to help people investigate those questions while keeping their project data together.
Side-by-side panes let users compare surveys from different dates or view a 2D map alongside a 3D representation. The Arc tool supports measurements along curved features, including elevation profiles and cross-sections. Terrain provides another way to examine a surface through elevation, slope and aspect coloring.
These are some of the changes introduced in our September workspace update. Presenting the workspace at Dronedge gave us the opportunity to show it in person and continue the discussion beyond the screen.

From the presentation to the stand
A conference presentation gives everyone a shared introduction. A conversation around a laptop leaves room to look more closely.
At our stand, visitors could see AVAG running, explore the workspace with our team and ask questions directly. Maps, models and measurements became the starting point for conversations about how to work with drone data.

That is an important part of attending for us. We can explain what a tool does, but we also want to understand the task someone is trying to complete. What information do they need? Who needs access to the result? Where does their current process become difficult?
Those questions help us connect product development with the work happening on real projects.
Looking around and looking ahead
Dronedge also gave us time to step away from our own screens and explore the exhibition.

Exploring the technology on display between conference sessions.
Seeing aircraft, sensors and software together puts each part of the workflow into perspective. The equipment used to collect data and the tools used to interpret it need to support the same end goal: useful information that people can act on.
We returned from Prague proud to have shared the new workspace and grateful for the conversations around it.

Thank you to UAVA for organizing Dronedge 2026, and to everyone who joined our presentation or stopped by to meet us.
